Steven Rowan

Managing Director

Mr Rowan has over twenty-six year’s environmental experience initially as a regulatory officer and technical specialist for UK Waste Regulation Authorities but for most of his career, in the private sector as a consultant to many multi-national corporations from all industry sectors. Mr. Rowan heads EAME’s Environmental Service Division where he is the Managing Director and founder of the business, working with a team he started to build 15 years ago and who continue to work together. Steve is based in the UK but works for clients all over the world on a wide variety of projects. He has extensive experience in many environmental disciplines including environmental baseline studies and impact assessments, audits, site characterisation and remediation, industrial permitting, environmental risk assessment, resource efficiency, waste management, environmental monitoring and environmental risk management. He has performed these works at chemical and petrochemical plants, landfill and waste treatment sites, engineering plants, minerals facilities, ferrous and non-ferrous metals plants, electronics facilities and a range of specialist industrial plants. He has been retained as an expert witness in Northern Ireland for the EHS, by private individuals facing regulatory sanctions, by major industrial companies and developers in public meetings and socio-economic debates, written national landfill gas assessment guidance and presented papers on a variety of subjects at national and international conferences. Prior to joining EAME, Mr Rowan was a senior partner in a large, highly respected global environmental and health sciences consultancy.

David Wells

Technical Director – Iraq Projects

David Wells is an Environmental Consultant within the multi-disciplinary EAME Environmental Team with whom he has worked on projects for a wide range of clients from the property, finance, chemicals, engineering and automotive sectors.  David is experienced in a range of environmental consultancy projects, particularly desk-based environmental audits and property inspections and site characterisation and monitoring. Prior to joining EAME, David was employed by a global environmental consultancy and previous to that by the University of Liverpool’s Geography Department as a research assistant as part of a project involving late Holocene environmental change at a Greek Early Iron Age Site.

Michael Sylvester

Manager

Michael Sylvester is a Manager at EAME. He has over 19 years consultancy experience in EHS projects with 2 years industrial experience, in relation to EHS management systems, environmental permit applications, EHS auditing and Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments. Michael previously worked for a global environmental consultancy (13 years) prior to which he was an environmental associate at BAE SYSTEMS, Samlesbury. He has been involved with a wide selection of EHS projects, including a 14 month secondment to a corporate environmental management team of a major UK based power transmission company and acting as an interim EHS audit manager for a global car component manufacturer. He has undertaken project work within the UK (including Northern Ireland), Republic of Ireland, Iraq, USA, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and Azerbaijan.

Warren Gilbert

Accounts Manager

After a career spanning almost 20 years with Her Majesty’s Revenues & Customs (HMRC) Service, Warren has entered private practice as EAME’s Accounts Manager, dealing with all aspects of the businesses financial governance and administration, accounts and reporting obligations and dealing with client and supplier queries relating to invoicing and purchase orders. He is also the founder and treasurer of the children’s charity child lung foundation (www.childlungfoundation.org) which EAME is pleased to support.
